Position Summary:
Supervises daily operations of mechanical craft employees: electricians, electronics, millwrights, carpenters, equipment operators, truck drivers, sheet metal, ironworkers, pipefitters, garage mechanics, instrument technicians performing routine maintenace in a broad array of crafts and complexity throughtout facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Schedules and supervises all work including preventative maintenance, preventative maintenance deficiency repairs, building inspection repairs, emergency repairs along with support of production operations. Plans and directs work force to insure maximum efficiency and economy in accomplishment of the work.
Engineer, design, and draw prints for small jobs and equipment to be constructed by craftsman under his/her supervision.
Order and stock all parts and equipment for related jobs and craftsman under his/her supervision
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Knowledge in Word, Access, Excel, CINCOM, AO Material Requester System, Outlook, and other software programs is needed
Ability to manage personnel and improve employee work habits.
Ability to handle multiple duties simultaneously. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Knowledge of current CBA's.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Minimum Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; associates degree in business or office management preferred.
5 years experience in material accountability and office or clerical experience is required.
Valid driver's license is required
