Director of Litigation, Project on Predatory Student Lending

Duties: Represents low-income consumers in cases involving predatory student loans and student loan collections. Will help shape the Project’s docket, will provide leadership on litigation strategies, and will manage and serve as lead counsel for impact litigation. A substantial portion of the attorney’s own docket will involve providing direct representation to veterans who have been victimized by predatory for-profit colleges; the attorney will also supervise the daily work of staff attorneys who are representing veterans and others victimized by predatory for-profit colleges. Engage in both defensive and affirmative litigation, will work closely with colleagues and law students, and will engage with community partners and client groups. Represents a unique opportunity to join Harvard Law School’s clinical program, to work in a dynamic public interest and clinical teaching law office, and to advocate on behalf of consumers victimized by fraudulent and deceptive practices.
