Key Functions


Makes modifications to existing applications to achieve the objectives of assigned projects in the most efficient manner. Maintains a detailed knowledge of each of the assigned applications, systems and programs.
 
Job Responsibilities

Researches, diagnoses, and resolves procedural and system problems associated with BI software applications, operating systems, and hardware.
Knowledgeable of BI applications such as Informatica (ETL), Business Objects Reporting, Tidal Scheduling
Responsible for deploying new code into production using established  Change management and Implementation processes,
Monitors and oversees established configuration management in maintained in all environments.
Scheduling , security and compliance of Informatica (ETL), Business Objects Reporting, Tidal Scheduling administration
Follows all policies and procedures needed for ETL/report production support and issue management.
Analyzes, researches, debugs and modifies or recommends modifications to current systems to keep them operating in an efficient and effective manner, conforming to existing department standards.
Responsible for providing recommendations and resolutions during emergencies of production system problems.
Leads maintenance and updates system documentation.
Supports and implements changes to existing systems, procedures and hardware configurations.
Administers, maintains, and ensures data integrity for assigned systems, programs, and applications.
Accountable for application administration (security, scheduling, and best practices)
Informs management of project progress, changes in resource availability, or project risks.
Will require on-call coverage responsibilities
Works with business users, programmers, hardware support, and application support. Communicate both business and technical problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Coordinates across cross functional BI project team of BI analyst, data modeler, ETL developer, test analyst, support analyst
Work with BI support lead to set priorities to resolve support and break-fix issues, while supporting development efforts
Interaction with customers and user communities to provide support and reporting functionality and future needs
Provide feedback to BI leadership on user satisfaction and issues with data warehouse environment

Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. May substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Experience:
 


3 - 5 years of experience in supporting BI/data warehouse vendor platform required. (i.e. Informatica, Business Objects,  SQL Server)

3 years data warehouse operations required.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Understanding of the BI technical infrastructure including security, databases, ETL and reporting environments required.

Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to effectively work in a large, geographically diverse system.
