Job Title : Teradata - Technology Architect
Location: Chicago, IL
Job Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
Design and Architecture for data warehouse including real time DW (active data warehouse)
Work with client architects on key design decisions
Client presentations on architecture and solution design
Review design and code of framework components
Collaborate with offshore architect team
Business process appreciation and functional design for Integration components
Skills:
Strong expertise on Teradata
Strong expertise on all Teradata utilities - TPUMP, MLOAD, BTEQ, FASTLOAD, FAST EXPORT.
Strong expertise on Teradata Parallel Transporter.
Strong in data modeling (Normalization, Star Schema). Teradata data modeler.
Strong in data architecture (Data Warehousing, ODS, Data Marts, Staging)
Good hands-on experience on performance tuning and space reclamation.
Teradata administration and use of admin tools.
Working knowledge as a Teradata application architect.
Design, creating and physical database objects (tables, views, indexes) to support normalized and dimensional models. Maintain the referential integrity of the database.
Strong Data Analysis and Architect skills
Knowledge of unix shell scripts, JCL and other scripting languages
Good knowledge on ETL and one or more of the ETL tools. Knowledge is Wherscape Red is good to have.
Knowledge on service oriented architecture concepts.
Knowledge on BI and DW interface
Qualification :Bachelor’s degree
Experience Required ( In Years) : Minimum of 5 years

• Candidate must be willing to travel when needed
