General Production Lead Control Room Operator–
Shift Monday – Friday 2nd Shift. Saturday and Sunday may be required
shift – 4:30 pm- 12:00am

Description
This position is responsible for Operating Plant Processes while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks
Applicants will be considered for General Production Lead opening. This openings require standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, shoveling, climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bending, stretching, reaching, working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions. Maintain production goals while maintaining a safe work environment. Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high pressure hose. Must be able to read and complete required logs. Must be able to communicate with co-workers via two-way radio. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. May be required to operate forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so.
Check equipment for proper operation.
Cookers, Press, Grinders
Check MCC room, make sure electrical panels are closed.
Check for water leaks in MCC room.
Check equipment control panel.
Continuously operate cooker, press, grinder for maximum efficiency
Record read out every hour on cooker, dryer.
Cooker - steam demand, discharge temp, feed rate, center temp, level on
cooker, discharge rate.
Monitor Presses for proper operation
Provide maintenance support if needed
Keep log
Fat tanks used.
Silos used.
Efficiency of cookers
Downtime
Boiler safety checks
Make adjustments as needed.

Requirements
Applicants who have worked for Tyson three times will not be considered. You must have 6 months of work history with one employer within the past 12 months. Applications are only active for the current month in which you applied. Applicant will need to reapply next month and have an active application to be considered for employment.
