Assistant Director, Compliance (Legal)
The candidate will assist the Associate Director, Athletics Compliance in the administration of all legal aspects of a comprehensive NCAA compliance program, with responsibility for education, monitoring, regulation and enforcement of the program. Educate coaches, administration, staff and student athletes on legal aspects of NCAA compliance including, but not limited to: Education and monitoring of Sports Gambling, Education and monitoring of Agents, Education of Rules and proposals, and Investigation and enforcement of NCAA, Conference and Institutional rules and regulations as they relate to NCAA legislation. Prepare and present educational material from Official/Staff interpretations from NCAA. Develop monitoring NCAA regulations through Best Practices from Compliance’s national governing association. Assist in developing institutional NCAA policy and procedures. Work in conjunction with Affirmative Action, Human Resources and Student Affairs to conduct required internal investigations into student athlete complaints per University Policy. Perform other duties assigned by the Associate Director, Athletic Compliance.
