AmeriCare is launching its new agency in Irvine serving most Orange County. We are a nationally franchised in-home care agency serving adults of all ages. We are seeking qualified, dependable, compassionate, friendly, respectful and committed Home Care Aides to join our passionate, dedicated and client-centered team. We are hiring for multiple positions in Costa Mesa, Irvine, Newport Beach, Orange, Santa Ana, Seal Beach and Tustin.
Caregivers provide “Companion” and “Personal” Care as well as Respite and Post-Op Care Services for clients in need of non-medical support, enabling them to remain in the comfort and safety of their own home.
Caregivers administer care and assist client by performing assigned tasks according to the established service plan to enable the client to function in the home setting and community.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and applicable training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Home Care Aide/Caregiver must have a current California certifications and registrations.
Meet bonding criteria. This includes never having been shown by credible evidence to have abused, neglected, sexually assaulted, exploited, or deprived any person or to have subjected any person to serious injury as result of intentional or grossly negligent misconduct as evidenced by the oral or written statement to this effect obtained at the time of application.
Communicate and interact with clients and families in a friendly, compassionate and congenial manner. Treat and care for seniors and special needs clients with dignity and respect.
Accurately report on the personal care needs of the client, on changes in the client’s condition, and on any observed problems that affect the client.
Must be able to work in a safe manner without direct supervision in most cases.
Must be able to respond to emergency situations in a calm and effective manner. Follow emergency procedures and contacts appropriate medical and/or emergency services.
Pass criminal background check.
Current TB Test (within 90 days of hire).
Minimum of Three (3) professional references.
Current valid California Driver License & Automobile Insurance (Proof of insurance required).
