Associate Academic Dean Of Law School
The candidate provides leadership and administration within a college or school, in accordance with established guidelines, university policy and/or governmental regulations. Oversee and manage student services at the School of Law, including activities and programs. Provide appropriate support services and referral resources for students needing counseling, medical assistance, crisis intervention, and other assistance. Provide programs on leadership development and professionalism. Assist with strategic planning for the School of Law. Chair the Student Support and Emergency Team and serve on assigned law-school and University committees. Provide and promote opportunities for students to gain an appreciation for diversity and an understanding of multiculturalism. Partner with student clubs and organizations, in a support and advisory capacity. Supervise the planning and scheduling of events, including negotiating contracts with outside vendors. Manage and administer departmental budget. Supervise the Director of Calendar and Events. Serve as the Dean’s designee for Honor Council and student conduct investigations. Must have appropriate terminal degree for the position; in addition, progressively responsible managerial experience. JD degree or a Ph.D. in Student Personnel, Counseling, or Higher Education Administration preferred. Progressively responsible positions in Student Life or related field preferred.
