Ogc Meloy Law Fellow
The candidate will be responsible for conducting factual and legal research, drafting litigation papers, assisting in the negotiation and drafting of agreements, advising with respect to University policies and other assignments under the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel. Will provide advice to the University and University officials in matters relating to city, state and federal law and regulations. Research laws, prepare briefs, complaints, answers, conduct pre-trial discovery and prepare pre-trial discovery documents. Will assist in the negotiation and drafting agreements. Provide advice, counsel and research regarding international legal issues; Provide legal advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations and privileges of the organization. Will represent the organization to customers, suppliers, competitors and government agencies. Will provide resolution of business or technical issues by identifying legal solutions and recommending a course of action; Examines legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuits; Provides a full range of legal advice and services.
