You will be working directly with product managers, business analysts, and your peers in a highly collaborative manner to design a multi-tenant content management system, integrating best in class content management tools.
We are looking for an experienced and collaborative senior WordPress Engineer with experience in front-end and back-end development using agile techniques like breaking down tasks into like-sized parts and pair programming. We expect this position to have a strong understanding of Content Management systems and industry trends.
Above all, you care about delivering quality software in a sustainable and timely manner and about software craftsmanship. You have experience in, and passion for, high-quality, maintainable code that confers low operating costs, high change velocity and is a point of professional pride for you and the team.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Designing, implementing and testing new features and functionality
Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
Ensuring high-performance and availability
Helping formulate an effective, responsive site designs and turning those into a working theme and/or plugins
Debugging complex problems under time constraints
Providing technical guidance and feedback to other team-members
Advocating for end user needs in software you are building
Collaborating with Product team (product managers, business analysts, and UX designers) to define and refine requirements
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
3-5 years creating well-structure WordPress custom themes and pluginsStrong PHP knowledge
MySQL
Front end technologies like CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript and jQuery
Knowledge of Restful APIs
Experience using and managing GitHub
Experience with Gutenburg blocks
Other Attributes That Will Help You In This Role:
Participating in application and system level technical design
Using metrics to drive software development decisions
Advising on the best software development practices in WordPress
