Job Summary:
Compiles and maintain the master records for the establishment and change of configuration baselines. Implement controls that allow load balancing, maintain reports of system utilization trends and perform patching of SQL and Oracle systems.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Assist with identifying, isolate and resolving Enterprise System problems to avoid a prolonged impact to the end user community
Provide day-to-day support of the PD AMIS Enterprise System.
Audit existing infrastructure and software to ensure proper setup, application of patches and policy compliance
Continually learn, actively share knowledge and foster exchange of skills.
Work with the Helpdesk to provide timely resolutions for issues affecting existing Production systems in order to maintain service level agreements
Assist with COOP, Test and Dev when needed
Flexibility in work schedule, off-hours for project implementation and 7X24X365 on-call support, some travel may be required
Being able to document processes and following DBA best-practices
Job Requirements :
Requirements:
Relevant SQL 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2
Proficiency with SQL, Oracle, VMware, identifying performance database issues, DoD STIGS and maintaining security compliance, database backups, database monitoring daily, optimizing performance (tuning)
Knowledge of diagnostic networking tools and enterprise monitoring applications
Experience performing DBA Assessments and Audits
Professional presentation and excellent customer service skills are a major requirement
Strong business and technical writing skills as well as oral communication
Knowledge and experiences in merging 2 different databases into 1 database
Must be results orientated, self-motivated and possess high-energy; self-starter that can work by yourself or in a team environment
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering Management Information Systems or business related areas.
7-10 years of related experience
