Duties: Provide clinic patrons with family law forms, assistance on court computers, information on legal process at the Family Law Clinic located at the Matheson Courthouse at 450 South State Street, Salt Lake City, UT. (COVID-19 protocols while courts are closed to public: respond to telephone calls, telephone messages and email inquiries.). Complete conflict check for parties, check in pro se parties, assign volunteer attorneys, draft orders for the Matheson Courthouse (450 South State Street, Salt Lake City, UT) and West Jordan (8080 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT) courthouses. (COVID-19 protocols while hearings are done virtually: complete conflict check for parties, participate telephonically at court hearing and draft orders.). Schedule appointments for Legal Aid attorney meetings with members of the public as part of our clinic services. (While the courts are closed for COVID-19, this position will not meet face-to-face with the public. A face covering is required of all staff who are meeting with colleagues in person, while observing social distancing.).
