**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s Entertainment Technology division is looking for a self-motivated, Software Development engineer in Test to contribute to the test automation framework supporting Xfinity Video Platform powering various products like Xfinity X1(****& Sky Glass(****company's flagship video products. We are seeking an ambitious engineer who has a passion for building highly scalable, distributed, cloud-native systems.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities


Focuses on writing code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion which will reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistency.
Develops and maintains code that validates front-end, middleware and database systems, using the latest tools and programming languages.
Repairs complex broken automation scripts and performs peer reviews of automation codebase.
Reports test execution results to senior leadership.
Perform troubleshooting and debugging of routine issues.
Collaborate effectively with a tight-knit team containing developers, QA (Quality Assurance) testers, product owners and project managers
Takes ownership and become Subject Matter Expert (SME) of all things automation.
Works in a dynamic, team-oriented environment using agile methodologies


Skills & Requirements


5-7 years of experience developing automation tests for enterprise scale software applications in Java
Solid understanding of multifaceted test methodology to conduct Functional, performance and longevity tests of Web Services.
Experience with multi-threaded applications, memory management and performance tuning
Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (Microservices) with scalability, performance and reliability issues
Experience working in DevOps environment with exposure to tools like Jenkins or Concourse
Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Preferred Experience Requirement


Experience with high level programming and scripting languages like Bash, Perl, Python or Ruby
Experience in NoSQL databases like Cassandra/Scylla/MongoDB
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent field of study) from an accredited university.
