At the intersection of technology and teamwork ...Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineer to join our elite and highly selective Cyber X-verse (X_vs) team, supporting the rapid development of cyber capabilities. The X_vs is an innovation team that brings together today's best minds in science, software development, and cyber operations in a collaborative environment to develop revolutionary capabilities. General: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. Specific:
* Create revolutionary cyber capabilities leveraging agile scrum development methodologies
* Develop new algorithms to enhance our user's understanding of the cyber battlespace
* Work within a highly collaborative team environment
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree with 2 years experience or 6 years experience in lieu of degree
* 2 years hands on experience
* Java, Python, C 2 years
* Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelors and Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineering
* 2 Years of C and/or C software development experience
* 2 Years of Java or Python development experience
* Understanding of graph theory and machine learning
* Previous experience in a research and development environment
* Previous experience in commercial software development
* Possesses at least a Secret Clearance
