company in your area who specializes in design/build projects and provides structural steel, miscellaneous metal, and ornamental metal for the commercial steel/metals industry is searching for a Plasma Cutter Operator
on the shop floor who preferably has at least 1-year experience operating a plasma cutter/burn table.
Summary of Responsibilities:
This position will be setting up, adjusting and operating the plasma cutter to cut raw materials such as steel plates, structural, extrusions, misc metal, and ornamental metal etc. as assigned.
Specific Duties:
Work from verbal instructions, drawings, blueprints, sketches, bills of material, cutting lists, etc.
Uses drawings to determine how cuts should be made.
May perform simple cleaning maintenance operations.
Scribes from patterns and performs simple layout.
Observes all Safety rules and regulations and keeps work area clean and orderly.
Job Requirements -
Candidate should have the following background:
Very mechanically inclined and very reliable.
At least 1-year experience operating a plasma cutter - Preferred
Experience reading blueprints.
