PRINCIPLE  ACCOUNTABILITIES:
 


Must be knowledgeable in the selection and implementation of equipment and supplies required in performance of daily tasks, be knowledgeable in hazardous waste disposal and be knowledgeable of universal precautions in handling waste. 
 
2.            Ensure sufficient quantities of supplies and equipment are available on service cart to generate good time utilization within the area.
 
3.            Conducts all cleaning activities and operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner as
described in the department training sessions.
 
4.            Performs daily maintenance required to prolong the useful life of equipment being used.
 
5.            Reports all building and/or furniture maintenance requirements.
 
6.            Assumes responsibility for personal and professional growth through participation in departmental meetings and inservices.
 
7.            Maintains established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, concerning quality initiative, safety, environmental conditions, infection control, and patient confidentiality.
 
8.            Is aware of the quality initiative and is involved in promoting quality care.
 
9.            Considers all information concerning patients, medical staff, and employees as confidential.
 
10.          Performs other duties as assigned.
 
11.          Must have ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
 
Hours: 20 hours per week (Flexible hours – Clinic needs to be cleaned before next day or operation)

No experience required.  On the job training is provided.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
 
***Must be physically able to withstand frequent posture changes including stooping, bending, reaching, lifting, standing, walking and being on feet during designated working hours.
 
***Must have adequate hearing and visual skills.  Must demonstrate high level of motivation, team orientation and place a high value on treating others with respect and dignity.
