Job Description:
The Physical Security & Safety Manager will work under the Global Facilities & Administration Senior Manager. They will be responsible for the management of physical security and safety, focusing on the protection of personnel and physical assets against all kinds of physical harm that may come from crime, violence, terrorism, sabotage, natural hazards, political and social instability, etc.
The individual in this role will lead the development of new physical security standards and policies and the implementation of appropriate systems and protective measures across our various locations. They will also be responsible for conducting physical risk assessments and staff training.
Responsibilities
Install and oversee all office physical security infrastructure (access systems, video-monitoring equipment, intercoms, alarms, etc.)
Develop and maintain relevant policies, standards, and procedures
Manage the facility security assessment process and ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and procedures at numerous IBKR facilities
Implement and manage physical security awareness and training campaigns
Conduct risk assessment site surveys and assist in the development of mitigation plans for identified security risks
Run/support quarterly audits to comply with Internal Audit requirements
Responsible for planning and implementing critical incident response program and protocol
Track activity, incidents, and physical security needs
Work closely with Information Security, Information Technology, Operations, Enterprise Risk Management, and Human Resources
Implement and maintain visitor management system
Liaise with law enforcement authorities as needed
Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Accuracy and attention to detail
Comprehensive expertise in physical security technologies, threats, and investigations
Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
5 years of experience in corporate security environments
2 years management experience
PSP (Physical Security Professional Certification) preferred
Law enforcement experience will be considered a plus
