On Call/ Pool Openings Only..... Housekeeper II position - days/evenings/weekends. Responsible for maintaining aseptic, orderly and attractive housekeeping conditions in all assigned areas of the Acadia Hospital. The work environment consists of a hospital setting and requires long periods of standing and walking, stooping, bending, lifting and operating heavy machinery. May be exposed to hazards from the use of tools, chemicals, power equipment and medical waste. Mature high school graduate preferred. Job related experience in housekeeping in a hospital environment preferred. Must have prior experience and demonstrated skill at operating industrial machinery including rotary floor machines, walk-behind carpet extractors, industrial trash compactors, and wet-vacs.
Cognitive requirements include the ability to communicate effectively and to understand and follow instructions. EOE
