Assistant Dean for Strategic Initiatives
The candidate will be responsible to Oversee Online Programs- Build a primary relationship with representatives of 2U and work directly with 2U and the law school strategic initiatives staff in the execution of the online programs. Recruit, Hire, and Oversee Online Faculty- responsible for talent acquisition and retention of top faculty to teach in our online programs. Works closely with the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives to develop systems for onboarding and training faculty. Review all online faculty course evaluations each session, providing guidance to course builders and section professors as needed. Excellence in Performance Metrics- Drive excellence in the student experience and in the growth and sustainability of the programs by developing a DNA of accountability to performance metrics and regular reporting among all aspects of the program. Teamwork- Develop strong relationships with 2U, law school staff, and the law school leadership team in the execution of the online programs. Work closely with the Dean through frequent and shared visioning and reporting. Work closely with the Academic Dean, Dean of Students and Executive Director to create, modify, and adapt law school policies to address the new realities of the online world. Expansion- Expand the program to maximize new and sustainable revenue for the law school. Work closely with the Chief of Staff and Chief Financial Officer as the program expands and the need for expanding staffing increases. Collaboration- Develop strong relationships with leaders of online programs in other schools and envision, adopt, and implement systems and strategies for providing creative dual degree programs and cross-registration policies that provide access for online students to the depth and breadth of offerings across the university. Innovation- Develop new programs like "short courses" to continue to expand the firm's share of the online market in both degree-bearing and non-degree bearing realms. Perform other duties as assigned. Uphold University mission through work performed.
