Senior OBIEE Developer
Multiple openings for this full time position for a dynamic global company. Ability to work in a team environment with the capability for remote as well.
Role:
- Leadership role in the analysis, design, programming, testing, deployment, maintenance, periodic enhancement and on-going support of software applications for Business Intelligence system based on OBIEE and its supporting data warehouse. - Render expert-level technical and functional analysis and programming services in client's multi-company, multi-national environment. - Responsible for designing fast data retrieval solutions, using a range of database and SQL tuning techniques and OBIEE performance options. - Detailed functional and technical analysis based on application design specifications provided by Business Analyst, as well as interviews with end-users. - Designing and implementing data replication solutions, ensuring the warehouse and BI system are refreshed appropriately for a near real-time processing. - Responsible for the creation/maintenance of the semantic layer that business report writers will use for reporting. - Self-starter with solid interpersonal skills --- projecting a very positive customer-service-oriented attitude. - Ability to work alone or with other members of a team. - Must be a team player with solid verbal and written communication skills. - Willing to learn, experiment and use new methodologies and software, whenever client starts to use them - Create and maintain thorough, up-to-date, functional and technical systems documentation for any and all customization and maintenance actions taken. Perform and document program unit tests based on sample data, stipulated functional test conditions and stipulated expected results; resolve any issues of functionality (i.e., debug program logic errors). - Support end-user requests in the completion of queries and file downloads and files maintenance. - Provide leadership and training to staff-level programmers in the technical and functional use of development tools, systems development and in developing design specification packages. - Potential overtime hours may be required consistent with project deadlines - Domestic and/or international travel may be required
Skillset Requirements:
Essential
- Experience with Data Warehousing, Data Modelling and Analysis. - Experience in design and development of data marts. - Experience in building of the repository using the OBIEE toolset. - Expertise in development with OBIEE technology such as Answers, Dashboards, and BI Publisher - Proficient in use of Oracle technologies like Materialized views, VPD, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures (triggers, functions), Loader, DataPump etc. - Proficient in OBIEE troubleshooting and technical solutions for repository merging and web catalog merging.
Preferred
- Technical Integration of OBIEE with other systems, such as Microsoft Sharepoint - ERP system knowledge (JDE & SAP)
Qualifications:
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience - Four or more years of programming experience in IT - Three or more years of experience in OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Suite* Enterprise Edition) 11g.
Preferred
- Understanding of OBIEE integration with Essbase - Experience in PL/SQL - Knowledge of ETL Toolset - Informatica, to design, develop, investigate and troubleshoot any process failures.
