We are looking for a CMA or a CNA to join a seasoned and fun team to work with a young woman who has a wonderful sense of humor and is a great self-advocate. She has a diagnosis of Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
Shifts Available:
Tuesday-Thursday 3-11pm
Job Duties include:
-Driving the client to appointments at Stanford Medical Center (Palo Alto, CA), and nearby destinations in client's own van
-Helping client with suctioning
-Re-positioning client in wheelchair
-Shopping
-Helping take care of client's small dog
-Light housekeeping
-Helping client with various things (cooking, planning parties, decorating, etc.)
Requirements:
-You MUST have Certified Nursing Assistant certification, Certified Medical Assistant or have documented units toward a nursing degree in lieu.
-Have a valid driver's license (with a fairly clean record).
-Laid back but professional attitude.
-Have good references.
-Are a reliable person with a record of excellent attendance and punctuality.
Compensation:
$17/hour after training is complete (an average of 30 hours of on-the-job training at $16/hour). Holiday bonuses, 401k with employer match. Full-time employees are also eligible for Kaiser with dental (at no cost to the employee), and vacation time.
Must also be willing to work with In Home Supportive Services (IHSS).
