Job Description: Technical Director
POSITION:
The primary responsibility of the Technical Director is overseeing all Audio, Visual and Lighting at WCC.
The primary focus is growing, building, and leading your team
and implementing the systems and strategies of Technical Arts; to successfully reach people to become fully engaged followers of Jesus Christ. Our number one way to reach people is through our

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary oversite of our Weekend Services as it relates to Audio, Visual and Lighting
Manage Planning Center Online and oversee the scheduling system for weekends
Attend Creative Team Meeting (once per week)
Attend Staff Rally as scheduled
Attend One on Ones as scheduled
Attend Rehearsals as needed
Manage broadcasting of weekend services
Oversee use, maintenance, repairs, and servicing of production equipment in all environments
Responsible for overseeing the recruiting, training and assimilation of team members and providing “pastoral leadership” to them in moments of praise and correction
Oversee the Production equipment set up and preparation for weekend services
Organize FOH booth, production suite, AVL storage, and other related areas.
Lead the production team both technically and spiritually through leadership principles and spiritual growth strategies
Assist with and provide leadership for global special events, productions, and services (i.e. Easter, Christmas, etc.) as requested
Establish and maintain healthy relationships with AVL vendors and suppliers
Research and develop new innovations and ideas related to production
SKILLS:
Skilled in the operation of Audio, Visual and Lighting Production Equipment
Excellence in Computers, Lighting and Audio Desks, Video switching and leading others through production events
Highly relational and possesses great people skills, with an orientation towards serving, empowering others, and building strong teams
Capable of changing priorities quickly and accept change with a positive attitude
Able to accomplish assigned projects utilizing highly developed communication (written and verbal), project management, time management and collaboration skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Mac OS software
Ability to learn and use Planning Center Online, Google Drive and other Applications, etc.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
In addition to the goals set by the Executive Leadership Team, the Technical Director’s performance will be measured based on the Wellspring Community Church Leadership Values, Core Values and Yearly 360-degree Performance Reviews.
TIME COMMITMENT:
Part-Time Staff (Hourly)– 25-30 hours/week Office Days: Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 5:00pm, Sunday 6:30am – 1:00pm.
Rehearsals: Thursday 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Special Events (Baptisms, Major Holidays, Christmas, Easter, At the Movies, Funerals, Weddings, Church Anniversary, ETC.)

About Wellspring Community Church
That July of 2015, a team of 75 people began holding worship services on Sunday evenings. Wellspring held their first services on September 27th, 2015 in their newly renovation space in Ruskin. By September 2016, Wellspring was averaging 700 in attendance each weekend.
Wellspring has had a tremendous impact on this community by reaching the lost and giving the hopeless an opportunity to find REAL HOPE! By 2019, Wellspring began to average over 1000 each weekend and it was evident that more space was needed to continue to reach families. By the fall of 2019, Wellspring opened their brand new Worship Center and renovated their existing space for Wellspring Kids & Students. The land adjacent to the west of Wellspring’s property was purchased in May 2019 with plans for a Dream Center and sports complex in the future.
Our passion is to reach the people in the SouthShore Area by embracing the community, serving others, and creating a culture driven by the redeeming power of the Holy Spirit.
