SGI has an immediate opening for an Engineering Manager responsible for the Simulation and BIOS development teams focused on SGI's shared memory server platforms. This team of highly technical and experienced engineers is responsible for design, development, bring-up, and support of SGI's custom-ASIC scale-up solutions. As Engineering Manager, you will develop and maintain strategic third party and internal cross-functional relationships, establish and manage project roadmaps and schedules resulting in successful delivery of plan-of-record commitments, prioritize strategic initiatives and execute as appropriate, manage team budgets within approved operating plans, and effectively communicate and drive in a fast-paced dynamic and collaborative work environment.
Bachelor degree in computer science or related scientific field, at least 8 years of low-level system software development and at least 8 years of engineering management experience. Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and C development. Experience working with enterprise-class servers, in addition to technical and high-performance computing, a plus. Experience with Windows and/or VMWare a plus.
