Supply Chain Product Owner

Profile

The Supply Chain Product Owner is responsible for growth of DSW/Designer Brand's omni-channel and DTC supply chain platforms and leads efforts to build compelling products that reduce friction and drive innovation within the systems, business processes and operations that the products support. 

 

This person will be regarded as a subject matter expert within their areas of ownership and own the execution of the product vision and roadmap, constantly revising and optimizing product strategy in response to changing industry practices, customer and store behaviors. 

 

MAIN DUTIES:

*Leverages behavioral data, store and customer feedback and business input to develop, prioritize and communicate strategy and roadmap for internal platforms including order management system, drop ship capabilities, carrier rate shopping application and other tools. *Guides product decisions as an expert in supply chain systems through knowledge of industry trends and best practices *Creates and maintains cross-functional relationships with departments across the company, including Store Operations, Digital Teams, Broader Supply Chain, MP&A and other departments to understand needs and/or additional support required *Maintains a balanced product strategy that incorporates development of new initiatives while also not losing sight of maintenance and/or improvement of existing processes and systems *Sets clear goals and success metrics for products, communicates results throughout the product life cycle *Performs competitive analysis within and outside of the industry, introducing best practices and driving process changes where needed *Identifies and completes ongoing review of metrics pertaining to owned product, including periodic audits to uncover opportunities for optimization *Maintaining relationships with software vendor partners where applicable, ensuring smooth integration and regular performance reviews *Serves as liaison and additional support on product advisory groups and councils where applicable *Maintains up-to-date product related reference guides and documentation (corporate user guides) on current system functionality
 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

*Bachelor's Degree in business or computer related field from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 4 - 6 years' previous experience overseeing the development, implementation, and performance of supply chain products required. *Background in project or product management, including the use and optimization of product management tools such as Jira (or related project tracking applications).  Strong proficiency in Microsoft Access/Excel, for reporting and analytical purposes is required. *Demonstrated success managing project timelines and resources.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from associates and vendors.  Provide executive-level summaries of project status for presentation at monthly project steering sessions, where applicable.

*Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables, able to make fact-based decisions in a quick turnaround with confidence where needed.
