Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Whitewater Storage

Profile

Riverbed Whitewater cloud storage gateway appliances provide secure, optimized high performance access to cloud storage for backup datasets. We are seeking Senior QA Engineers that will be a critical part of the development and test organization.
The Software Platform Team is a critical part of the Advanced Development organization and works closely with the Hardware Development Team.
Senior QA Engineer-Whitewater Cloud Storage (San Francisco or Sunnyvale)
Key Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and execute SW-HW system test plans and procedures
Perl, Python, and shell script programming to create test automation scripts and tools for system software testing in a Linux environment
Debug the interaction among software, firmware, and x86 server-level hardware
Set up various networking environments to test networking drivers and characterize/debug NIC & driver issues
Required Skills and Experience:
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
4 years of QA experience with integrated systems/ platforms
Proven ability to be a productive and flexible team member in a fast-paced environment.
Good understanding of x86 server systems, and/or desire to learn more.
Automation testing with hands-on experience in Perl or Python or shell scripting is required
Knowledge of Linux/ Unix operating systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with in technical forums
