Data Integration Designer/ Developer

Profile

The Data Integration Designer/ Developer will work with IBM's Application Innovation Services clients to develop innovative solutions to address core business issues in complex and integrated business environments. As a project team member you will perform project tasks and produce project deliverables. Have good communication skills and a proven track record of delivering complex extracts, transform and load (ETL) interfaces in projects using tools and technologies like Informatica, Data Stage and/ or Ab Initio. Have the ability to interface and interact with multiple teams and stakeholders and translate business requirements into ETL designs, complete the appropriate build, test and implement the interfaces. Interface and collaborate with team members in different geographies and various time zones. Needs to work under tight time lines and have the ability to manage challenging situations.
The Data Integration Designer/ Developer role requires the candidate to perform the following specific tasks:
* Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and implement ETL interfaces
* Performs testing to assure the delivery of a solution that meets business specifications.
* Translates business requirements into ETL source to target mappings
* Provides guidance and support to less experienced team members for design, development, testing and implementation
* Collaborates with the Offshore teams to deliver the designed solutions within the allotted time frame
* Able to perform as a Team Leader when necessary.
* Raises any technology issues encountered with leadership and keeps them informed of the progress, risks and issue
* Possesses technical background in required applications and tools.
* Position requires local work in Phoenix, Arizona (No Travel Allowed).
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

* At least 2 years experience in system analysis, design, development and testing of Data Warehousing Solutions (including ETL interfaces)
* At least 2 years experience in experience with ETL Development experience using Informatica
* At least 2 years experience in experience with various database technologies like Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server, and Teradata
* At least 2 years experience in experience SQL and Unix
* Readiness to travel Up to 1 day a week
* English: Basic knowledge
