The principal software engineer will work within project teams acting as a technical leader to design and implement client products. This position will be responsible for developing and presenting design choices to the executive team, project management, software developers and QA. This position will report to the Senior Project Manager and work closely with the Chief Information Officer and other members of the executive team.
Responsibilities:
- Identify appropriate software architecture for a gaming platform that can accommodate in house and 3rd party game development; gaming platform should support MicroSoft, Apple, and Google technologies
- Maintain and evolve architecture documents based on requirements and industry trends/technologies.
- Analyze risk and propose risk mitigation strategies in meeting system requirements.
- Provide supporting information to the Software and Quality Assurance (QA) engineers to aid in the creation of a system specification as well as verification/validation documentation.
- Responsible for detailed software design specifications, coding and maintaining code as needed.
- Assist QA with test plan and test case specifications.
- Participate in the system specification review process to ensure system requirements can be translated into software architecture and design.
- Comply with all applicable product development processes.
- Ensure the overall integrity of the architecture and validate it against the system specification.
- Work with visual designers to improve and refine product visual design and consistency.
Education/Experience:
- BS/BA in computer technology or a scientific discipline
- Experience developing client/server products incorporating scalable data acquisition, processing, management and reporting functionalities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in
one or more
of the following technology sets:
Microsoft Technologies: Visual Studio, .NET2010, SQL Server 2010, .NET 3.5/4.0, C , C#, OBDC, DirectX, XNA, web Server/Services
Apple Technologies: OSX, iOS, XCode, Cocoa, Core, OpenGL, Quartz, C/C , Objective C
Google Technologies: Android and available development tools
