Profile

SUMMARY: Tyson Foods seeks to hire a n Executive Employment Counsel with demonstrated experience implementing operational excellence strategies, superior leadership skills, and an expertise in employment and labor law and litigation. This position oversees enterprise employment litigation. The Executive Counsel will manage outside counsel on cases and demonstrates an ability to effectively and timely communicate with and respond to clients along with an ability to provide competent risk assessment advice. This position relies on extensive experience and sound judgment to independently plan and accomplish goals and possesses an in-depth knowledge of a wide variety of legal concepts practices and procedures. This position must possess the experience or ability to participate in the development of corporate strategy and to manage complex legal matters and or class action litigation. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The ability to drive implementation of strategic plans, while positively engaging stakeholders and colleagues is required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Law degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.

Experience: 10 plus years of legal experience, including previous experience in labor and employment law and litigation is required.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.

Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Special Skills: A leader and team player with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and respond to clients in a timely manner including the ability to provide competent risk assessment advice. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Travel: Travel is required but varies with workload.
