Summer Intern - Accounting amp Tax

Profile

Cirrus Logic is looking for a highly motivated intern to join our Tax team for Summer 2023. You will gain exposure to a variety of income tax and transactional tax areas, and interact with other teams in the Finance organization including Accounting and Internal Audit. You will be encouraged to learn about other areas within Finance and across the company to grow and develop in your professional career.
Responsibilities:
Benchmark tax financial reporting vs. competitors and peer companies
Calculate US and foreign tax depreciation
Assist with preparation of US tax return
Analyze purchases for sales tax savings opportunities
Assist with documentation and updates to tax accounting procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
Working towards an undergraduate or master’s degree in Accounting
Completed intermediate accounting and at least one taxation course
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to manage and prioritize several diverse projects at once
Comfortable working at a detailed level, while being able to summarize and communicate results at a level suitable to the intended audience
Intellectually curious with a willingness to ask questions
Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to develop working relationships across teams
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Enrolled in a PPA or MPA degree program with a Tax focus area
Experience at a Big 4/large accounting firm and/or publicly traded corporation
This position is located in Austin, TX
This is a hybrid position and will follow a 2 day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with Cirrus Logic.
