Summer 2022 - Graphic Design Intern

 

The marketing creative team at DSW creates strategic and distinct experiences to inspire our customer. DSW customers are obsessed with shoes and we are obsessed with helping them find the perfect pair.

 

The graphic design summer intern will assist the team's digital designers in creating digital marketing assets, including emails, site assets, and more. At the end of the program, this intern will have a better understanding of the marketing creative team's function, marketing pieces to add to their portfolio, and increased practical experience using Adobe Creative Suite.

 

Internships will begin summer 2022 (mid to late May) and last for 12 weeks. This is a remote opportunity.  All internships are full-time, paid positions.

 

 

 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Partner with project managers to execute email and website project briefs *Use InDesign templates and style libraries to create assets that align to brand standards *Partner with art directors and other creative team members to ensure creative aligns to seasonal brand campaigns and the overall DSW brand *Collaborate with copywriters, photographers, and the photo retouching team *Assist in finding inspiration for future brand campaigns
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

*3-4 years of design education with an emphasis on typography and composition *Must know Adobe Creative Suite programs (specifically, InDesign and Photoshop) and be comfortable with Mac OS *Knowledge of retail industry *Submission of digital portfolio or PDF with examples of work is required *Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
*Must be a team player, exhibiting strong communication skills and flexibility *Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills, attention to detail and accuracy
