SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician III
to work second shift in Crane, IN
. This position is fully onsite.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provides technical support for AEA assigned systems or platforms to include the modification, maintenance, and repair for the AN/ALQ-227 Communication Countermeasures Set (CCS) components.  Conduct routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration and testing; in-line repair and testing; operation of test equipment; coordinate test schedules; prepare inputs for test plans; review test plans and procedures; conduct or monitor system, subsystem, equipment or component testing; adjust units under test; analyze test results; and determine valid recommendations and conclusions based on test data.
This technician performs at this level one or a combination of typical duties such as: 
Constructing components, subunits, or simple models or adapts standard equipment; may troubleshoot and correct malfunctions;
Following specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipment.
Conducting various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard test equipment and records test data;
Extracting and compiling a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc., processing data, identifying errors or inconsistencies, selecting methods of data presentation.
Assisting in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts;
Developing information concerning previous operational failures and modifications, and using judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information. 
This position requires the candidate to hold a Secret Security Clearance. 
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate's Degree in related discipline and two (1) years or more of related experience; Or, High School and four (3) years of related experience.
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. An Interim Secret is needed to start.
Experience in RF Troubleshooting, Automated Test Equipment, Coax cable repair
Test Equipment working knowledge (Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, etc.)
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
