Job Description:
Provide expert functional knowledge for optimum projects integration and interface management to drive successful projects in the upstream business.
Shell Bolivia Corporation Suc. Bolivia is seeking a Projects Engineer with a focus on the development of upstream oil & gas facilities. The incumbent will be required to face the challenges that arise during a project's life cycle, including design, engineering, negotiation, contracting, project planning and execution.
Job role responsabilities
Safety leader for the project; sets project safety culture and drives performance
Ensure proper integration of project requirements and interface management for the successful definition and execution of projects
Define key deliverables for project and timing needed to achieve project objectives
Prepare cost and schedule plans and risk registers for projects.
Responsible for the project performance including safety, quality, cost, schedule, and operability
Ensure consistent application of processes and operational best practices to fulfill functional requirements in a timely and safe manner.
Define project’s HSSE&Quality requisites in accordance with agreed milestones
Ensure projects conform with the company's standards
Work with project team members and stakelholders to ensure project expectations are understood and necessary plans are in place
Articulate the different methods, steps, roles and concepts involved to formulate and implement a sustainable sourcing strategy
Owns contractor relationship and works with contractor senior management to ensure contract scope is delivered per contract terms
Engage with global experts to identify and resolve key issues related to the project

Requirements:
Engineering degree from a recognized university
Seven years of experience in oil and gas upstream industry
Seven years of experience in a variety of brownfield & greenfield project management and execution positions (construction, onshore installation, quality, execution, contracting, project controls)
Prior experience includes all phases of project management
Schedule, cost and resource planning, utilise planning tools for project schedule and resource phasing, monitoring, optimisation and reporting
Ability to lead a team of other professionals; prior experience in leadership roles within a project
Good command of Spanish and English both written and spoken
Team working ability
Adaptability to time pressure and change
Good knowledge of the industry standards and practices relevant to project management in the Oil&Gas upstream industry
An effective team player with strong planning, communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attributes for upstream projects e.g. attention to details, highly organized, contracts management and practical use of guides and principles
Able to articulate technical issues to a non-technical audience
Willing to work in the field during project execution
