to lead our native Consumer App team and our Mobile Platform team. Our Consumer App team is made up of multiple squads that support millions of users and billions of dollars in revenue. We are looking for a leader to help lead the app evolution to encompass industry-leading omni-channel, virtual, and in-store experiences leveraging the quickly evolving business model of our physical stores. What will you do as a Director, Engineering - Consumer App and Mobile Platform:
Technical leader of the flagship consumer iOS and Android Consumer apps
Technical leader of the Mobile Platform team that builds re-usable components and architectures for all teams within **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. building native apps.
Provides strategic direction for the team and associated product area, ensuring alignment with organizational and portfolio goal
Recruit, build, and sustain multiple development teams through all phases of the project lifecycle – architecture, design, development, MVP, and production.
Lead teams through both technical and organizational transformations while finding ways to reduce ambiguity
Encourage platform mindset to create reusable components to influence the company
Lead the design and development of key technology initiatives
Strong demonstrated ability to work directly with technical leads, engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders
Strong demonstrated ability to unblock technical teams and work through process
Demonstrate a creative and innovation-driven ability to articulate engineering design patterns related to scale, performance, security, and usability
Minimum Qualifications:
8 or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
2 or more years of experience managing and leading engineering teams (technical leadership, work direction, coaching and mentoring)
1 or more years managing managers
Preferred Qualifications:
11 or more years of relevant professional experience
Proven experience having a technical impact across previous organization
Well-developed leadership skills, creates a culture of growth and development in their team
Experience with designing and implementing high performing organizational structures and the ability to measure results
Practical experience with Agile development, test-driven development, refactoring, automated unit test, integration test, functional test, and continuous integration/deployment.
