Duties: Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Office of Sponsored Research and serve as the primary institutional contact with research sponsors. Will enable us to make a transformative impact on scientific discovery. will influence and shape our execution of sponsored research agreements and funding. r expertise in the field will promote a growing and vigorous research portfolio. Direct the pre/post award sponsored research and funds management activities of the organization and provide strategic direction and oversight. Develop, communicate and interpret **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. policies related to the administration of sponsored programs. Ensure compliance with all Institute and research sponsor grants management policies and procedures including federal uniform guidance regulations and regulations related to the use of human samples and data in research. Act as principal institutional liaison with research foundations and other funders on behalf of principal investigators. Works closely with development and finance on the administration of multi-year and endower funds. Develop close working relationships with co-workers in finance and administration as well as with key constituents, customers and research faculty across the Institute. Work in close coordination and partnership with Finance and the Office of Strategic Alliances; Partnership to ensure there are appropriate budgeting and spending tracking systems for funds from all sources of finance. Help ensure data security standards. Partner with IT business systems to continually assess and improve sponsored research reporting systems and analytics. Develop metrics/benchmarking that compare institutional trends over time as well as with other like organizations.
