Description

The Director, Capacity Planning, will develop, implement and adjust YHA supply demand forecasting for our clinician network to meet our member demand. The role will act as a convener and arbiter between clinical market managers, market operations and call center teams to continuously monitor forecast plan against actual results and appropriately adjust planning to meet goals. The role requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment.

Responsibilities

Leads:


Market-level utilization strategy, setting hours needed per county based on data-driven processes
Team of 3-5 analytics-focused specialists who collaborate with other functions to determine NP assignment, recruiting, and dialer strategies for each market
Continuous improvement of capacity planning models (including supply and demand forecasting)
Operations and maintenance of scheduling algorithms (e.g., cancellation and routing optimization)


Collaborates with:


Market Ops Managers to guide execution of utilization strategy and ensure demand-driven NP assignment
Director, Scheduling to guide execution of dialer strategy based on capacity and production planning
Director, Recruiting to guide identification of regions with shortages to inform recruiting


Accountable for:


NP Utilization and completed visits across markets


Required Qualifications:

Technical skills required:


Extensive experience drawing action-driven insights from analytical models
Demonstrated experience with data modeling for supply/demand, logistical delivery and/or operational capacity forecasting


Soft skills required :


Excellent communication skills, given daily collaboration with multiple stakeholders
Ability to leverage critical thinking, problem solving and planning to drive organizational goals
Ability to coach analytics-focused team to draw and communicate insights to diverse audiences


Prior work experience:


5 years experience in operations role, with experience in healthcare, capacity planning, production planning and forecasting preferred
