Summary:
Under general supervision, develops, implements, and maintains proprietary and/or purchased software systems/applications in support of the financial services and investments divisions. Designs, codes, modifies, tests, debugs, integrates and documents applications from specifications dealing with the overall operating system including core and/or external web interfaces, sophisticated file maintenance, accounting systems, and/or document production. May also be responsible for documenting system/application scope and objectives, leading smaller scope projects of a simple nature, and quality assurance.
Primary Accountabilities:
Under general supervision, designs, develops and/or repairs logic that drives software systems/application functionality. Defers more complex and/or integrated programming issues to more senior staff. Leads/performs key portions of the system development lifecycle including gathering, documenting and analyzing requirements for highly complex, multiplatform applications. Maintains documentation, project tracking, and key stakeholder reporting metrics. Makes recommendations for project resource requirements to project managers and/or systems leadership.

Performs portions of the system development lifecycle including designing, coding, testing, documenting, installing, maintaining, and supporting proprietary and/or purchased software systems/applications.
Performs unit and performance testing on code and documents findings within defined scope.
Completes project tasks within defined milestones. May serve as lead for a project deadline or milestone.
Performs on-call production support duties on a periodic basis
Works under general supervision. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.

Knowledge and experience implementing reporting solutions using Business Objects
Financial/Insurance Industry knowledge (Investment Accounting, Reporting and Trading)
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience.
2-5 years experience.
