POSITION CONCEPT
This position manages a multidisciplinary team that develops, executes and measures
TECO Energy’s corporate graphic design and multimedia communication solutions. This includes graphic design and art direction for print and Web design, photography, videography, social media and other multimedia solutions. This position also provides strategic guidance in the use and effectiveness of emerging communication technologies. This position manages TECO’s print and online brand and integrated campaign communications.
EDUCATION
Required
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred
A bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Advertising, Commercial Art, Computer Science, Business, Marketing or Communications with successful completion of advanced graphic and web design classes.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 8 years of direct work experience performing the Duties & Responsibilities of this position.
Experience managing and developing leading professionals in a team environment, along with demonstrated experience working with senior management.
Excellent planning, analytical and organizational skills, able to deliver on time and on budget.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.
Sound judgment and the ability to quickly prioritize multiple projects among competing demands.
Ability to lead/collaborate with cross-functional teams (Customer Services, I/T, HR, etc.) to ensure communications are coordinated, aligned, consistent and meet business priorities.
Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
Solid knowledge of website analytical tools and in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaign communications
Experience in vendor contracting and managing budgets that meet performance targets and stakeholder expectations.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 4 years of direct professional experience in multimedia communications, email communications and website content management with multiple platforms, design and databases preferred.
Ad agency, in-house or interactive experience a plus
Experience developing and managing Social Media, SEO, PPC and email marketing communications, with strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practices.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and master of industry-standard programs and software (Mac hardware and OS software, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.,
as well as other current print/web development software and associated file formats).
Critical eye for detail and hands-on experience with graphic and web design.
Commercial design and creative copywriting experience a distinct advantage.
