Therefore, this role will be temporarily based in a and exact timing of the departmental move to Rahway, NJ will be communicated at a future date.u00a0u00a0nWe are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our Biologics Potency team within the Cell Based Sciences, Analytical Research and Development organization of our Research Laboratories at Kenilworth, NJ.u00a0The qualified candidate will execute routine testing, and support prequalification and robustness studies for immunoassay and cell-based assay development efforts to assess the biological activity of biologics modalities such as antibodies, multifunctional proteins, peptide therapeutics, antibody-drug-conjugates, and/or cell- or gene-therapy agents.u00a0The candidate will work with technical leaders in the group to establish these types of assays, to write and review technical reports, and to support cross-functional teams.nnThe candidate would have good working knowledge of underlying biological mechanisms and assay principles, with experience in immunoassays and/or cell-based assays to assess the potency of drug candidates. Experience with additional techniques and technologies, e.g. flow cytometry, or lab automation, will be advantageous. The candidate will will work with technical leaders in the group to communicate results effectively in presentations to the team, and author and review documents. Experience of working in a GxP regulated laboratory environment for routine sample testing, documentation, and data verification will be a plus.u00a0 Experience of working on ADC, cell- or gene-therapy drug programs will be a plus.nEducation Minimum Requirement: nnnA Masteru2019s Degree with a minimum of 1 yearu2019s experience, or a Bacheloru2019s Degree with a minimum of 4 yearsu2019 experience in cell biology, bioengineering, biological sciences, or related discipline in the biopharmaceutical industry.nnnnRequired Experience and Skills: nnnExperience working with BSL2 level biological agents and general cell culture applications, e.g. transfected cells, reporter cell lines, or peripheral blood mononuclear cells.u00a0nnnExperience in performing cell-based bioassays for biologics modalities such as monoclonal antibodies, multi-domain proteins, antibody drug conjugates and peptide based therapies, or cell- and gene-therapy with working knowledge of underlying biological mechanisms and assay principles is highly desired.nnnExperience in applying a variety of biochemical, biological, and immunological techniques (e.g., cell-based assays, FACS, u00a0ELISA, FRET, reporter gene assays, qPCR, or ADCC/CDC, etc.).nnnA strong team player with excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work independently.nnnStrong ability to deliver complex objectives under aggressive timelines in a rapidly changing environment.nnnnPreferred Experience and Skills:nnnExperience with qualification, validation, and transfer of assays to a CRO or regulated laboratory environment.nnnWorking knowledge of regulatory and industry guidelines in the area of CMC assays for biologics.nnnProficiency to utilize various data analysis software such as curve fitting, statistical analysis, or data tracking and trending.nnnExperience of working on ADC, cell- or gene-therapy drug programs will be a plus.nnnnWe are a research-driven biopharmaceutical company.
