Assistant Professor
The candidate will work in the field of Health Economics. Must have research and teaching interests in health economics broadly defined, including to, health-care data analytics, health policy evaluation, health behaviors, health outcomes, and coastal/marine public health. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct interdisciplinary work with researchers from units such as the Brody School of Medicine, the College of Allied Health Sciences, theInstitute, the Center for Health Disparities and the North Carolina Agromedicine Institute. Applications are invited for a tenure-track or tenured position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Department of Economics to begin August 14, 2017. Ph.D. in Economics or closely related field, (eg. JD, MD/PhD or interdisciplinary health/economics PhD) is required. Must have an active research agenda supported by external funding, demonstrated command of data analytics using large, high-quality data sets and a strong record of teaching and service to the university, community, and profession.
