SUMMARY
Bering Straits Information Technology, LLC, a subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking a qualified Configuration Librarian in Washington, DC. This position shall manage the Configuration Management Library and all the master copies of hardware and software configurations. Review and implement various activities of the Change and Configuration Management processes; must be able to function in various roles across both processes, such as Configuration Manager, Configuration Librarian/Document Manager, Change Sponsor, and Change Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Be responsible for tracking the acceptance, identification, storage and withdrawal of all supported changes.
Evaluate Change Requests, coordinate with proper approval authorities, and track status and provide status updates regularly.
Responsible for ensuring that all the changes are registered and that these records are correct and up to date.
Schedule and conduct annual document reviews and updates, coordinate with SMEs and technical writers.
Assist in secretarial duties of the HDVS Technical Working Group and the Security Technology Configuration Control Board.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret level security clearance.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Demonstrate progressive experience in ITIL, Change Control Board duties, and document management
Preferred
Six (6) to nine (9) years of directly related experience
Certifications in change management

Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical agility test (PAT) and annually thereafter as prescribed by the government.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 
Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervisory duties do not apply to this position.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
