International Tax Manager
Duties: Using established procedures and working under minimal supervision of the Director of International Tax, performs international tax compliance duties and related special projects, including support of other members of the Tax Department. Ensures compliance with tax laws and minimizes the tax burden of the company. Reviews, analyzes and assists with the reporting of financial information for the company’s foreign owned companies with a view towards identifying tax reduction opportunities. Reviewing E&P Studies, tax basis studies, 987 calculations and other analysis required to support tax planning projects. Prepares and/or supervises completion of tax projects and analyses as requested by management. Responds to information document request related to international tax aspects of IRS audit. Assists the Corporate Tax Department with review of tax returns (including 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, 1065 and 1120F) and foreign tax credit documentation. Supporting the tax compliance projects by analyzing, and manipulating data from accounting and tax systems. Coordinates with other tax team members, executes, and prepares research and computational analysis of US International tax and Local Foreign tax issues and considerations in relation to transactions and planning initiatives. Keeps up to date on tax law changes, cases, rulings and regulations and assist with tax research. Assist with international components of global tax provision process. Assist in driving efficiencies in the international tax compliance and tax provision processes. Monitors the effectiveness of systems, policies, and procedures and makes appropriate recommendations to ensure that daily operations are efficient; assists in implementing approved changes. Research complex tax issues that impact profitability, complying with tax laws, analyzing tax legislation, and defending the company’s tax position on audit.
