Data Analyst
The candidate will collaborate and consult with attorneys and professional staff to build analytical solutions for the firm and our clients. Creatively navigate highly ambiguous requirements to deliver best-in-class analytics. Develop data preparation and sample design, identify appropriate analytic and statistical methodology, and document process and results. Lead requirements gathering, design, and development of business intelligence solutions, specifically within Power BI. Help to execute the firm's strategy around developing innovative ways to serve our clients. Provide data analytical expertise and guidance to key stakeholders. Work collaboratively with the team and respond quickly to time-sensitive requests. Develop data structures and pipelines as necessary to support analytical efforts. Collect, audit, compile, and validate data from multiple sources. Should have 5+ years of data analytics experience in a professional services firm or similar environment and a Bachelor's degree preferred but not required in a technical or quantitative field (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, other Sciences). Advanced experience in creating self-service dashboards using Power BI; experience with Tableau and other BI platforms a plus. Should have the ability to create data sets, reports, and dashboards using Power BI from various data sources. Experience with development in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Online, and Power BI Services; experience with Tableau and other BI platforms a plus. In-depth knowledge-building dynamic measures using advanced DAX techniques in Power BI; working knowledge of Power Query. Advanced experience with Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA, Macros, etc; extensive experience using SQL to obtain data for analysis and to build custom data structures for reporting; experience with Python/RStudio or another programming language. Prefer basic statistics knowledge in predictive modeling and regression; experience in consulting, collaborating, and influencing across heavily-matrixed organizations; demonstrated ability to successfully plan, develop, and execute projects, especially in an agile development environment; excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical data analysis and results to business stakeholders.
