Bering Straits Orion Management (BSOM) is seeking a Justice Advisor II
to provide broad range of advice and technical assistance on criminal justice issues to senior officials. 
This one-year assignment  (with option to extend) will be in various overseas locations (as determined by the U.S. Government).  This job WILL NOT be filled for at least 3-6 months and is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Assess existing judicial structures and institutions and make recommendation to senior government, judicial, and criminal justice officials to develop and strengthen a competent independent judicial system. 
Serve as the first line supervisor, responsible for the activities of numerous Level I Justice Advisors. 
Work with other international and local officials and international organizations in developing assessments and recommendations.
Perform other related duties as required.
Job Requirements :
Must be licensed to practice law.
Must have at least five (5) years of criminal trial experience as a criminal defense attorney, prosecutor, judge or court administrator, or at least three years criminal trial experience combined with one year of experience serving in international rule of law programs.
Must possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
Must possess excellent analytical skills.
Must be willing to travel internationally, particularly to developing countries as well as training sites in the US for short periods.
Must be able to work in an environment with frequent shifts in priorities on a day-to-day basis.
Must be able to communicate in English.
Must be able to pass company background investigation.
Must be a US Citizen and eligible for SECRET security clearance.
Must be able to pass a physical exam and an agility test as determined by the employing agency for the job category, as well as a medical and psychiatric exam.
Must pass a nine-panel drug test for THC, Cocaine, PCP (Phencyclidine), Opiates, Methamphetamine, Methadone, Amphetamine, Barbiturates, and Benzodiazepines.
Must have or be able to obtain a current U.S. passport or have the ability to obtain one prior to deployment.
Must have or be able to obtain license to operate a standard transmission 4x4 vehicle
Preferred Skills :
Experience in a multicultural environment.
Proficiency in one or more of the following languages is desirable but not required: Arabic, Kurdish, Albanian, Turkish, French/Creole, Spanish, Pashto, Farsi, Dari.

Various locations internationally.  Candidate must be able to pass a physical exam and an agility test as determined by the employing agency for the job category.
