We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytics driven Product Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, entrepreneurial team player with a passion for building great user experiences across all platforms – desktop, mobile and mobile apps. As a member of the Cracked team, the Product Manager will define and drive the requirements through execution of features on the product roadmap. The Product Manager will work closely with the business owners, the engineering and QA, design and other functional teams during the entire product lifecycle, from the concept stage to execution and post-launch support. The job is based in Santa Monica, California.
Responsibilities:
Translate business needs into delivery of Product Requirement Documents that clearly state the goals of the product and give an in-depth explanation of the desired functionality
Create or manage delivery of wireframes for pages and/or features to illustrate concepts
Successfully organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
Work with the cross functional team to scope and prioritize the projects/features and lead them to completion
Manage communications around product launches that include partners and key stakeholders
Lead analyses and reporting on key success metrics to understand the performance of existing and new features and to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
Stay abreast of competition and innovation within the space and use the knowledge to inform requirements and new product features
Identify dependencies, assumptions and constraints that affect the outcome of each project
Plan iterations and lead inspection efforts throughout life cycle
Actively identify and communicate risks to ensure predictable outcomes
Requirements:
Critical thinker with great listening and proven communication skills.
Able to establish relationships and collaborate within a matrix environment.
Able to handle multiple simultaneous projects while effectively balancing scope, resourcing, time, and quality.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Comfortable crafting analyses in Excel, finding data needed to build models or answer questions
Some familiarity with HTML for testing / QA.
Experience executing online products and applications with a demonstrated success in building winning products in a consumer-facing environment.
Experience designing simple and intuitive user interfaces including requirements gathering, use case development, UX design, wire framing, and user testing processes.
Experience in defining and documenting product requirements
Experience managing the technical aspects of a web product / platform
Thorough knowledge of the product development stages and process, and the technologies involved in web and application development
Strong leadership skills and initiative; must establish credibility within teams as a knowledgeable, effective contributor
Must be a committed team player, able to work both independently and interact with executive management, and other staff members
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset
4-6 years of related internet work experience
Bachelor’s of Science Degree, Business Degree, or equivalent experience.
