Director - Low Income Taxpayer Clinic

The candidate will supervises the Low Income Tax Clinic and teaches doctrinal or skills courses offered by the School of Law. Must have a J.D. or similar degree, an excellent academic record, a record of excellence or the promise of excellence as a classroom teacher, and a commitment to scholarship. Must be admitted to a state bar and have credentials that will permit admission to tax court practice. Practical experience as a tax attorney is preferred. Moreover, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in the field of taxation. Such interest can be shown through having taken advanced tax courses in law school, receiving or pursuing a LL.M in taxation, or experience with the Low Income Taxpayer Program. Supervising the Low Income Tax Clinic, the successful candidate will also teach doctrinal or skills courses offered by the School of Law. Should have the ability to design and teach courses at the J.D. level ; excellent oral and written English communication skills; excellent organizational and time management skills; excellent analytical skills; basic computer skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office or similar software; experience with software related to legal education (e.g. Lexis, Westlaw); and the ability to work with a highly diverse staff, faculty, and student body.
