Program Parts Manager/Parts Control Engineer needed to support programs in the space systems business area. Responsibilities of the position include: 1) Working with individual programs to ensure and manage the flow down of customer and derived application requirements. 2) Creation and implementation of Parts Management Plans (PMP). 3) Conduct detailed part investigations and data development efforts to prepare all data necessary for PMPCB review. 4)Participate in/manage Parts Materials and Process Control Board (PMPCB). 5) Create and manage Program Part Selection Lists (PPSL). 6) Bill of Material (BOM) analysis. 7) Review of internal and subcontractor non-standard part requests. 8) Manage the flow of new parts and documentation. 9) Provide the primary program interface for the Components Engineering Commodity Specialists/Parts Engineers. 10) Utilize project management skills to manage multiple priorities and utilize cross-functional groups to effectively meet part requirements and program deadlines.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
The candidate will have a BS or MS in Engineering or Science with a minimum of nine (9) years experience in Parts Management, Parts Control, Components Engineering, Parts Engineering or related field with at least five years experience in a Space Systems environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary as the position requires program, customer and suppler interface. The candidate must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and act independently as well as possess the ability to work in a team-oriented, matrix (IPT) environment. Candidate must be able to obtain an SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
The Parts Management background preferred including experience with traditional PDM (Product Data Management) tools and Microsoft Office suite of programs. Experience with industry/goverment Parts Management standards (MIL-STD-3018, MIL-STD-1546, etc) is preferred.
