Compliance Officer
Duties: Serves as a Complaint Resolution Officer under the schools’ Title IX Policy and the Uniform Complaint Procedures, among others. Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies and procedures by evaluating, assessing and recommending the course of action including whether or not the initiation of investigative procedures is appropriate Conducts investigations involving alleged violations of policies including policies regarding Title IX, Sexual Harassment, Equal Opportunity, and Uniform Complaint Procedures when deemed appropriate Assists with the development of policies, protocols, guidelines, toolkits and professional development geared toward sharing best practices on compliance with these policies, and with the development of school and professional working environments that are in keeping with community norms as expressed in relevant policies Supports local school staff members in developing their practices in relation to community norms and policies, and in service of students, staff members and school culture. Acts as an independent reviewer and evaluator to ensure that compliance issues within the organization are being appropriately monitored, evaluated, investigated and reported Works closely with the Chief Operations Officer, General Counsel, and Chief Learning Officer on projects Assists Chief Operations Officer and Human Resources in the investigation and resolution of complaints involving staff; works with the Chief Operations Officer and Human Resources in matters related to alleged violations of state, federal and/or district policy. Provides Athletic staff with guidance in support of Title IX compliance work. Monitors, reviews, collects, and verifies written data on all areas relating to Title IX regulations. Operates standard office equipment and utilizes pertinent software applications.
