VP of Product Development, Legal
The candidate will serve as a strong business partner and influencer of global product development strategy. Cultivate a collaborative business partnership with global research and development leaders to encourage and continue the proactive engagement of the legal team. Provide legal advice and counsel to EVP, R&D, R&D leadership team and serve as a center of excellence for research and development related legal issues, comprising matters related to all development phases as well as quality related advice (GxP). Serve as strategic advisor and partner to all stages of R&D including all phases of research and clinical development, as well as drug safety, approvals, and alliances. Support the evaluation, selection and implementation of partnership opportunities that relate to Company’s’s growing number of product offerings. Shape Company’s legal and regulatory policy agenda working with Company’s public affairs, policy and advocacy teams, and trade associations to develop Company’s positions. In partnership with the key stakeholders, drive the big picture IP strategy by having a deep understanding of the IP risks and opportunities across various functions within the organization and provide proactive counsel. Develop and implement intellectual property strategy and provide strategic partnership to support regulatory exclusivity strategy. Support key client group including regulatory affairs, medical grants and medical writing and Oversee the legal partnership with technical operations, including quality, manufacturing, supply and business processes.
