Enterprise Solution Architect

Profile

Responsibilities
· Design and apply best-of-breed, enterprise system, application and ESB solutions to meet business objectives on large-scale technology projects; evaluating impacts on integration, reliability, performance, scalability, flexibility and maintainability
· Ensure the solution architecture identified will support the business objectives. Strike a balance between practical designs and alignment with the architectural vision
· Work closely with multiple development teams to define, select and architect products & services that require significant cross component coordination
· Work with other architects in leading domain analysis and the creation of an executable architecture with design artifacts; conceptual & high level design and use-case model & actor identification
· Report to, and consult with, other architects and IT management on project status and strategies
· Develop and present design artifacts & prototypes to audiences of various levels & disciplines
· Establish and defend the credibility of scope definition, project schedule, priorities, risks, an overall development plan and deployment
· Ensure that all administrative tasks such as timesheets and status reports are submitted in time and accurately
Qualifications
· Bachelors Degree (BS) in Computer Science/Engineering, Math, Physics or Physical Science from a Top Tier Program. Masters degree is a huge plus.
· 8 years in the industry with strong designer and developer background in the middleware space.
· Industry experience in Satellite Television Provider, Telecommunications, Cable / Broadcast TV, Over the Top Provider or Studio/Production company is a plus.
· Strong understanding and hands-on experience with both Waterfall as well as Agile software development methodologies
· Strong and demonstrable expertise in Object Oriented analysis and design standards and patterns
· Experience with Sun Java CAPS, SeeBeyond ICAN, or similar B2B integration software applications/adapters (TIBCO, Vitria, Webmethods)
· Strong and demonstrable expertise in UML 2.0 and BPMN standards and use of various UML artifacts in documenting design choices. Expertise with Borland Together-J is a plus.
· Expertise in Service oriented architecture patterns and governance
