Senior Marketing Communications Specialist
The candidate will be responsible for helping lead numerous strategic projects and initiatives furthering our external and internal communications goals. Will be responsible for helping manage, organize and contribute to public relations efforts, original content development and content marketing (client alerts, white papers, newsletters/bulletins, videos, etc.), online marketing (social media, the firm’s website and blogs), internal communications and awards and directory submissions. Should have strong writing and editing skills and will report to the Content and Digital Marketing Manager as well as support the Senior Public Relations Manager. Must have demonstrated writing ability and excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills; ability to write about legal and technical topics; ability to draft, create and proof high-quality content for external audiences. Should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain effective working relationships and communicate verbally and in writing in a professional and courteous manner. Should have demonstrated ability to develop strong narratives aligned with go-to-market strategy. Must have understanding of the firm’s legal services (venture capital, securities, IP litigation, etc.) and the technology and life sciences industries that we serve (SAAS, gaming, IR/VR, autonomous transportation, blockchain, digital health, healthcare, etc.). Should have strong research and reporting skills required. Must have 6-8 years of corporate communications experience, preferably experience in a law firm or other professional services environment. Proven track record successfully developing, managing and executing public relations, content marketing and other marketing programs. Management of complex editorial processes and in-depth communications experience highly desired. Bachelor's degree required, emphasis in Marketing, English, Business Administration or similar field preferred.
